That’s what little girls/boys are made of….

My nephew just turned 3. He loves tractors and cones and lorries and stuff – which is good because he got plenty of that sort of thing for his birthday.
When I was little I wanted a train set. I didn’t get one but I’ve still got a bit of a thing about trains. My favourite toy was a Fischer Price camper van which had a boat on the roof and a motorbike on the back. In my adult life I have had all of those things in big at one stage or another, but they have never worked as well as the toy version, or fitted together in such a cool way.
Other than that I was probably a typical girl with a Tiny Tears and a Sindy, who loved dressing up as well as climbing trees…
I used to pin cuttings from magazines on my bedroom wall of things I liked. No, not pop stars. Mostly pictures of old wooden furniture….. which I now have quite a lot of in my home. I’m not sure I believe in vision boards and the idea hadn’t even been invented then, but maybe the dye is cast when we are young. Who knows.
Not being a Mum myself I am not really involved in the big debate, but here is a picture of some graffiti done by my step-mother recently in a well-known supermarket.
