I’d like to take this opportunity to share two little known facts about myself with you:
1 I can in fact be surprisingly organised – in a colour-coded sort of way.
2. I have a secret love of stationery.
Only last week I got very excited to discover I could purchase a pretty notebook at the same time as doing my food shopping! So much so that I texted my best friend…but she didn’t reply. She was probably doing an important appearance or something. Anyway, I consoled myself by buying a bright red ring binder…all in the name of Business expenses of course.
But that’s not all, I have a wall-planner, a hole-punch, and the printer is so good you only have to ‘think’ about printing something and off it goes…even if you’re in the next room! And it even goes to a website and orders it’s own ink when it’s running out – so it dosn’t matter if you are in the loo at the time.
These modern offices are a far cry from my first stapler and index card box. Hold on… I think I’ve got some festival organisers home telephone numbers on those old index cards somewhere…and wait, I still have an actual “Mailing List” with peoples actual addresses on. To those people, please can I apologise for never sending you a darn thing in the post, ever. I was going to get round to it one day. In fact I will gladly apologise to you in person – well, on facebook – if you just go online and like my page….
As you can no doubt imagine, here at Transatlantic Roots I am anticipating an imminent influx of CD orders. Just drop an email to email@example.com and I will get my people onto it right away.
Just as soon as I have finished sharpening these pencils.
